Available orientation

The current visitor information does not publish a compact official site-plan PDF. The interactive map therefore shows selected entrances and landmarks with precise locations.

Landmarks around the grounds

The interactive map is limited to clearly located points that are useful to visitors:

  • Gudrunstraße entrance: Pedestrian entrance near the administration building.
  • Eastern pedestrian entrance: Narrow pedestrian entrance on the north-eastern side of the cemetery; bicycles are not permitted.
  • Cemetery administration: Administration building by the Gudrunstraße entrance.
  • Memorial to the Socialists: The cemetery’s central place of remembrance, a dedicated area.
  • Ceremonial hall: Building designed by Hermann Blankenstein.
  • Visitor toilet: Free wheelchair-accessible toilet near the ceremonial hall.
  • Public parking near Gudrunstraße: Free public parking about 44 metres outside the entrance; it is not a designated cemetery car park.

Locate a grave

The map is not a grave register. For an individual grave, you need its official section, row and grave number. A merely approximate location is not presented as an exact marker.
